英国王室新闻官劳拉近日邀请中国驻英媒体参观白金汉宫，向记者介绍白金汉宫接待习近平到访的筹备工作。据介绍，访问期间，习近平夫妇将下榻英国女王官邸白金汉宫。
作为英王室主要官邸的白金汉宫是伦敦著名地标和热门景点，虽然平均每年有6万多人次的受邀访客，但白金汉宫按照惯例只分别在上半年和下半年接待两次高规格的国事访问。
劳拉介绍，女王对国事访问的接待工作十分关心，尤其是国宴环节，她不仅亲自过目菜单，还会对餐桌的花束样式和摆设等细节进行监督，“对女王来说，白金汉宫就是她的家，所以她对国事访问的接待工作很关注，也十分期待习近平主席夫妇的来访。”
