Lodovico Antinori侯爵于1981年Ornellaia庄园，他梦想建立一个全新的，真正沿袭了其家族传统酿酒工艺的葡萄酒。庄园地处在托斯卡纳海岸一个与世隔绝的地区，曾经属于高贵的“Della Gherardesca”家族。由于受到相邻的Sassicaia庄园的启发，Lodovico开始种植Cabernet Sauvignon, Caberne Franc 和Merlot等一些非常适合山庄环境的葡萄品种。在2001年Lodovico的梦想终于实现了，美国权威杂志“Wine Spectator”评选“Ornellaia1998”为世界最佳葡萄酒。

The ornellaia Estate was founded in 1981 by Marchese Lodovico Antinori, whose dream was to create a new, truly exceptional winery from a family property inherited from his mother. The estate once belonged to the noble ‘Della Gherardesca’ family, and is located in an unspoiled area on Tuscany’s central coast.
Inspired by his uncle’s experience in the neighboring estate of Sassicaia, Lodovico planted Cabernet Sauvignon，Cabernet Franc and Merlot, the grapes which would most benefit from the extraordinary nature of the estate’s terroir. The dream becomes reality in 2001 when the US magazine ‘Wine Spectator’ honored Ornellaia 1998 as the number one wine of the world.
Each vintage at the ornellaia Estate is like a painting, where the stockes of the artist’s paintbrush carefully represent the very essence and soul of the vintages.
The subject of the picture is however always the same the “terroir”, a myriad of different in dividual characteristics which require patient interpretation.
Their aim is to improve these paintings’ richness and complexity as time goes on, and have an overall balance and harmony which can only result from increased experience, dedication and passion.
Ornellaia’s wine growing philosophy has always been that wines should be a true expression of their “terroir” of origin.The Estate’s diverse soils are ideal for the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.The mild maritime climate, the colours and aromas of the lush Mediterranean vegetation, imprint their special characteristics on the wines.
Respect for the Estate’s unique terroir means:
-nature dictates the quantities producted;
-attention to the finest details;
-hand harvesting each individual vineyard block, only when fully ripe;
-individual vinification and separate aging of each individual block.

Produced following closely the’s philosophy, Le Volte is the result of the research and selection of the best Mediterranean terroirs in Tuscany. Elegant and enjoyable, the 2003 vintage is characterized by ripe berry fruit aromatics and flavours, a generous, round mouth feel and an attractive long finish.
