Heard, the contents of the application seen, the petitioner has made a prayer for issuance of a direction to the local police to restrain them from harassing the petitioner illegally.
This application requires to be dealt with by the district police officer. Therefore, a copy of this petition along with its annexure be sent to him and he shall ensure that the petitioner is not harassed illegally and improperly. He shall also direct his subordinates to remain within the four-corners of law. The local police may, however, if it deems appropriate, proceed with any matter reported to it in accordance with the provisions of criminal procedure code and the police rules. With this direction, the application is disposed of.
