In the small town of Angustias in Puerto Rico, Sheriff Luis Gonzalo knows a lot about almost everyone. He knows, for example, that Elena Maldonado has been beaten by her hus-band. But when Elena is found dead on the same day she brings her newborn baby home from the hospital, there's one thing Gonzalo doesn't kn0w-who killed her.
