Tom Forrest was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He began studying wine seriously in 1976, while at catering college, and began teaching the subject in 1982. He has been a judge at the International Wine challenge since 1999, is a member of the tasting panel of Wine magazine, and is currently manager atVinopolis, London's wine-tasting visitor attraction. He lives in London, England.
