LNBI is devoted to the publication of state-of-the-art research results in bio-informatics and computational biology, at a high level and in both printedand electronic versions - making use of the well-established LNCS publicationmachinery. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second International Symposium on Computational Life Sciences, CompLife 2006, held in Cambridge, UK, in September 2006.
