美国户外产业协会与盐湖城户外用品展结成战略联盟

据美国媒体报道,该国户外产业协会与美国盐湖城户外用品展的主办方尼尔森商业传媒(NBM)近日达成协议,建立长达15年的战略合作关系,共同致力于美国户外业的长期繁荣和持续增长。

美国盐湖城户外展,始于1983年,世界上最大的户外运动用品专业展览会之一,同时也是美国户外产业协会的经费主要支持者之一及活动赞助商之一。该战略关系的建立,在未来的15年内,将大大促进户外工业协会各项活动的开展及经费的筹措,确保其健康有序的发展,并向协会会员提供各种优惠及服务项目。

届时,户外产业协会将成为美国盐湖城户外展的冠名赞助商,并助其坐上全球户外展会的头把交椅。为实现这个目标,该协会将代表户外行业和尼尔森商业传媒展开全面合作,共同提高展会的品质,相关性,及加强品牌吸引力,发崛新的战略商机,增加服务项目和丰富活动形式,促进户外产业的发展。

对于这次合作Mountain Hardwear董事长暨美国户外产业协会理事会主席Mike Wallenfels表示:"此次战略联盟的建立对美国户外产业的健康发展意义重大。我们双方将共同面对未来的各种挑战,确保各自及整个户外行业的长期发展,协会内的各会员也都会从与尼尔森商业传媒和户外展的合作中收益匪浅。"

Outdoor Industry Association and Nielsen Business Media (NBM), parent company of Outdoor Retailer, have entered a 15-year strategic alliance that will boost efforts to ensure the long term success and growth of the $289 billion outdoor industry.

Outdoor Retailer, the world's premier outdoor lifestyle trade shows since 1982, expands its role as the top financial contributor to Outdoor Industry Association and as a primary sponsor of select Outdoor Industry Association projects. Over the next 15 years, new benefits to the industry will include a significant increase in funding for industry projects and programs that support industry health as well as an increase in discounts and services to Outdoor Industry Association members.

For its part, Outdoor Industry Association will become the title sponsor of Outdoor Retailer and endorse Outdoor Retailer as the leading outdoor industry trade show in the world. Outdoor Industry Association will work collaboratively with Nielsen Business Media and on behalf of the industry to enhance the quality, relevance and appeal of the trade shows, to identify new strategic opportunities and to expand new services and programs that support the industry.

"The timing of this alliance is critical for the future health of the industry," commented Mike Wallenfels, president of Mountain Hardwear and chairman of the OIA Board of Directors. "The OIA Board of Directors and Nielsen have worked very hard to develop an agreement that meets the growing challenges ahead and ensures a path of long term growth not only for individual businesses, but also, for the industry as a whole. This new era of collaboration with Nielsen Business Media and Outdoor Retailer, specifically, will reap enormous rewards for all members of the industry."

"Outdoor Industry Association is doing a phenomenal job of creating a healthy business environment, promoting active outdoor recreation and working with governments and critical stakeholders to create great places to play outside and ensure fair prices for the industry's products," said Joe Flynn, vice president and general manager of Nielsen Business Media's Sports Group, which produces Outdoor Retailer. "Their efforts have significantly strengthened the outdoor industry. We strongly believe that by working closely with the top association in the active outdoor lifestyle industry, not only will Outdoor Retailer benefit, but also, our entire collection of outdoor sports trade shows."
