PowerSHAPE 是一套复杂形体造型设计系统，智能化光标新技术，操作简便，易学易用。PowerSHAPE 使用 DelCAM 完全造型专利技术，将实体、曲面和三角面片造型建模技术相结合，充分发挥三种造型建模技术的优势。系统提供专业化塑料模具设计模块和自动电极设计模块。PowerSHAPE 广泛用于具有复杂形体的产品、零件和模具的设计。
新版的 PowerSHAPE v8.0 除用户界面的变化外，还新增了众多的新功能。下面是新版 PowerSHAPE 8 的部分新增功能简介。
PowerSHAPE 界面做了如下改动：
选项信息中增加了快速选取所有网格命令。在编辑菜单的选取选项中，同样增加了快速选取网格命令。
在查看工具栏中，网格显示替换了原来的显示三角形或三角形模型的边缘。包括以下选项：
仅开放边
开放和内部边、阴影
开放和内部边，阴影
节点和开放边，阴影
开放和内部边，空壳
节点和开放边，空壳
使用比较分析来寻找曲面和三角形之间的不同。这个选项在模型分析工具栏中，或从工具下拉菜单 > 模型分析中选取。
查看选项中模板选项替代了原来的公告牌选项。
线框造型有以下功能改进：
1. 在点编辑器展开时，可以编辑不同的点。
2. 在线编辑器展开时，可以编辑不同的线。
3. 在圆弧编辑器展开时，可以编辑不同的圆弧。
曲面造型中有以下功能改进：
1.增加“转换到网格“选项（该选项同样可在编辑下拉菜单的转换选项中选取）。
2.在“自动曲面“对话框中，增加了两个曲面的产生方式。要从一个三角形产生曲面，选择“自三角形”或“三角形上网络”。
3.在自动曲面的高级选项----边缘匹配中，增加了“重新分布点”功能。
4.在驱动曲线曲面选项中，增加了边缘匹配的下拉菜单。
5.通过选择已裁剪曲面的边缘,产生一个未裁剪曲面。拖拽边缘使曲面更大。这对相切曲面和模具补面尤其有用。
6.工艺补充面产生对话框内，绘图按钮已更新(仅 Toolmaker 模块提供)。
实体造型中有如下功能改进：
1、在实体>驱动曲线选项中，增加了边缘匹配的下拉菜单。
2、在摹仿变形对话框中，柔性框页面增加了两个附加按钮 － 位置和缩放
3、当实体偏置时，实体特征树中的包裹特征被保护。
4、实体操作中增加了转换到网格命令。这一功能同样可在编辑>转换>选项到网格中选取。(仅 PowerSHAPE Pro 提供此功能)
三角形造型
PowerSHAPE 中提供以下三角形造型选项：
1、PowerSHAPE 8.0 包括新的网格功能。网格由具有共同边缘的一组三角形（三维尺寸）所构成，各自的三角形可以被操作和编辑。
2、在模型中通过使用快速选取所有网格来选中所有网格。在编辑>选取的菜单中，通过选取过滤器和手工选取选项，同样可选中网格。
3、在查看>网格显示中，查看阴影网格。
4、在曲线工具栏中，使用产生截面曲线来产生一个截面网格。这个选项也可在曲线的弹出菜单截面曲线中选取。
5、在曲线工具栏中，使用拔模选项，产生一条拔模曲线。
