因为往期的期刊真的很多，所以我打算只贴最近几期的封面内容，就从2011年的开始吧。

《科学美国人》（英文原名：Scientific American，缩写：Sci Am）是美国一本很受欢迎的科普杂志，始于1845年8月28日，起先是每周出版，后改为每月出版。它是美国历史上最长的、一直连续出版的杂志。目前为止，有143位诺贝尔奖得主撰稿。
据2005年12月的统计，《科学美国人》在美国本土的月发行量为555,000份，而国际发行量为90,000份。虽然被认为是高水准的期刊，但这本杂志并不采用类似《自然》杂志同行评审的方式审查稿件，而是提供一个论坛来呈现科学理论和科学新发现。
《科学美国人》一开始是由Rufus Porter所发起的单页报纸。早期主要是在报道在美国专利局所登记的项目，像是永动机。直到现在，仍在会以“this date in history”的小专题报道以前的发明，不过通常都是报道一些不切实际的项目。
