以上是DVD的官方英文介绍，lz英文不好就不在这里翻译了，只简短说说自己的心得。Jamie Oliver是lz非常喜欢的一个公众人物，而让我认识到Jamie的也就是这个节目：《家庭煮夫奥利弗》，当我第一次在旅游卫视的玩转地球看到这个节目时，就喜欢上了这个节目，它的制作非常精美，好听的主题曲、新鲜好看的色调、温馨的厨房、郁郁葱葱的瓜果园、低调但说话好听的园丁，还有最重要的主人公，既亲切又有趣的家庭煮夫奥利弗，加上旅游卫视那风骚的配音，销魂至极。我非常喜欢的一点是，这个节目的镜头运用非常妙，那些食材在慢镜及放大下更为新鲜诱人，画面充满美感。几乎每集奥利弗都会在菜园里呼喊：“布莱恩，过来！”然后两个人就在窃窃私语讨论食材，最后奥利弗就提着一篮子食材走进厨房，那个菜园就像厨师的天堂，应有尽有。偶尔奥利弗还会教观众种草莓、种葱、种豆子。如果必须要用一个词形容这个节目，那必须是：可爱。
这个版本是lz从国外的bt引擎上找到的，英文原因，没有字幕。但是，我认为不需要字幕也基本可以理解，因为饮食节目本来就不是很深奥，基本上都是非常生活化的语言，看懂就行。而且，奥利弗在这个节目里的口音也比他在原味主厨等早期节目里的要好懂很多了，有英语基础的70％～80％不是问题。只是我个人更怀念旅游卫视的配音版本，那个风骚夸张的配音更附和奥利弗的个性～lz重口味哈
