A former journalist, she’s the author of several travel books includingFrommer’s Ireland 2007andFrommer’s Paris Day by Day.She also co-wroteFrommer’s MTV IrelandandFrommer’s MTV Europe.She learned everything she knows about Ireland accidentally, while getting lost repeatedly over the course of many years. She likes to think that she gets lost so you don’t have to. On a recent trip, she stumbled across the ruins of the castle her family left behind when they fled Ireland in the 17th century, with the English hot on their trail. There wasn’t much left of it. In her spare time she writes unpublished mystery novels.
