HTC Desire HD的侧面按键设计比较常规，倒是该机电池仓的设计却十分奇特，和往常电池安放在背部电池之下的手机不同，Desire HD的电池仓的开口却是在机身的右侧，这里有一个长条形可以取下的电池保护盖，取下保护盖之后即可将电池从机身内部取出。
