内容简介
《翻译教程》共分两部分。第一部分全面探讨了翻译所涉及的话题和问题：翻译过程、文本分析、翻译方法、篇章作为翻译单位、翻译程序、翻译中的文化因素、格语法及成分分析法在翻译中的运用、隐语翻译等等。本书还单独辟出章节论述翻译批评、科技翻译、文学翻译、译文修改、交稿期限、翻译测试以及参考书的使用等。此外，还有段落专门讨论双关语、方言及歧义的翻译。本书的第二部分由13篇翻译练习组成，旨在分别说明如何从翻译的角度分析文本、语义翻译与交际翻译的比较及翻译批评等。
作者简介彼得·纽马克，曾任英国中伦敦理工学院语言学院院长。自1977年始，任语言学院委员会主席。他在各地巡回讲学，并在多家学术刊物，如Incorpated Linguist，Babel,Fremdsprachen等上发表过论文；翻译过关瑞士画家克勒、德国画家丢勒的书籍，并有著作论述法国的翻译批评。
编辑推荐《翻译教程》是彼得·纽马克教授的一部力作，1988年获英国应用语言学协会奖，可作为翻译教材和学习手册，供本科及研究生学习使用。
