内容简介HE HAD TO FACE THE TOUGHEST JOB OF HIS LIFE. AND HE NEVER ONCE THOUGHT HE'D BE ON HIS OWN.
Harry had it all: a beautiful wife, an adorable four-year-old son, and a high-paying media job. But on the eve of his thirtieth birthday, with one irresponsible act, he threw it all away. Suddenly he finds himself an unemployed single father trying to figure out how to wash his son's hair the way Mommy did and whether green spaghetti is proper breakfast food. This brilliantly engaging novel will tug at your heart as Harry learns to become a father to his son and a son to his aging father, takes stabs at finding new love, and makes the hardest decision of his life.

媒体推荐‘One of the finest books published this year… Hilarious and tear-jerking in turns’
----------Express
‘Parsons has written a sharp, witty and wise book straight from his heart. His characters are all nitty-gritty, bounce-off-the-page, real people; his dialogue is brilliant.’
----------Daily Mail
‘Packs an enormous emotional wallop’
----------Time Out
‘A finely constructed novel that says more about human relationships than a library of psychology manuals, hitting the funny bone and the emotional jugular at one and the same time’
-----------Irish Times
‘Wistful, touching and funny, it looks back at the glory days of the family without losing hope for the future. In the end, it is a deeply touching book: a love letter to a son from his father, and to a father from his son.’
-----------Mail on Sunday
‘A grown-up novel that is simultaneously a heart-rending gripping read and suffused with an irresistible reality.’
-----------Glasgow Herald
‘A touching novel…full of quiet tenderness, and written from the heart’
