序言《雅思预备教程·听力》是专门为准备参加雅思考试的高中毕业生、人学低年级学生或水平相当者而编！写的。通过对此教材的学习，考生能够清楚地了解雅思听力考试的要求和题型，在此基础上做针对性强的雅思听力练习，并为进入雅思考前强化培训班学习或者自学各种雅思强化教材打下语言基础。
本教程按照雅思听力考试的内容分为五个单.元进行练习。在提供语言和英语国家社会文化背景知识的同时重点培养学生边听边记的能力，改变听完后再做题的习惯。
第一单元 以练习人名、地名和国家名称为主，通过字母游戏和口常对话的形式帮助考生熟悉26个字母及其在实际生活中的应用，了解英国的城市和地区。
第二单元 以数字练习为主，通过数字游戏和与数字有关的口常对话等形式听写数字、电话号码、时间、日期，并帮助考生了解英国的主要节假日。从第二单元开始增加边听、边读、边记的综合能力训练。
