在多方的协助和支持下，经过长时期的积累和收集、整理和翻译，这本有关海南旅游的中英文集终告完工。虽然有关海南的旅游宣传材料很多，但统一规范的权威性资料却仍然非常短缺，至于外文的资料就更是少之又少。网络给了我们方便快捷的沟通途径，但同时也给我们带来了判断真伪的难度。更因为这是一本中英对照书籍，所以其收集和编写的难度便成倍地增加。在本书的编写过程中，我们不但参考了能收集到的一些国内外网站的有关内容，而且还参考了国内外网络博客的一些精彩内容。各方信息瞬息万变此起彼落，网络版主风起云涌难以捉摸，故而作者特意将有关网址列于书后，谨以为谢。还有部分资料分别收集整理并翻译自国内的有关典籍和文献，具体名目均列于书后，以志谢忱。
该书虽为中英文对照，但却不是传统意义上的字字对照，句句对等，只追求了功能上的一致，不过总的目的与意义不会因此而受到影响。虽然我们在撰写及译释过程中竭尽全力，试图完善，但智者千虑必有一失，更何况我们这些凡夫俗子，所以书中疏漏谬误在所难免，敬请各方专家、同行及读者批评匡正，以便于我们今后对其进行修订和补正。
