Cranberry and Orange Sauce

酸果曼桔子汁

Ingredients (成分):

· 1 lb fresh cranberries 1磅新鲜酸果曼果实

· Flesh of 1 large orange, diced 1个大橙子的果肉块

· Zest of 1 large orange, grated 1个大橙子搓碎的橙皮粒

· 5 fluid oz fresh orange juice (or sufficient for simmering) 5盎司的新鲜橙汁

· 2 tbsp soft brown sugar 2汤匙的软红糖

· 1 to 2 tbsp Cointreau or preferred orange liqueur 1-2汤匙的橘味白酒或橘味利口酒

To prepare (准备):

· Wash cranberries and place in heavy-based saucepan. Wash orange and pat dry. Grate zest and add to pan.

将酸果曼果实洗干净后放入锅中;将橙子洗净弄干并去皮,然后将皮搓碎成粒放入锅中;

· Remove orange pith (the white, spongy layer of the peel), cut flesh into small pieces, and add to pan.

将橙子打理干净,去掉外面的白色软皮层,然后将果肉切成小块放入锅中;

· Add sugar and orange juice to ingredients in pan.

锅中加入糖和橙汁;

· Bring just to boiling point, then reduce temperature immediately. Simmer over gentle heat until sauce thickens to a fairly smooth consistency. Add liqueur mid-way through simmering.

将锅烧至沸点后立即把温度调低,用文火烧至汁变得稠滑,其间加入利口酒;

· Remove from heat and allow to cool. Freeze in a rigid freezer container.

关火放凉,然后放入冰箱。
