本作是casebook系列的第三部作品，系第一人称真人出演侦破式冒险解谜游戏。
看起来是一件极其简单的案子：一个年轻的男人在镇上的一个公寓跳楼自杀了，而那个公寓所在的地区经常发生这种惨事。他的尸体在他跳出去的窗口下面被找到了。看起来这只是Skylark公寓的另一个糟糕的日子。
但之后在他的地板上发现了奇怪的标记，以及一个对着窗外的摄像机。难道他在监视着其他房客的行动？天知道这是怎么回事。当房间突然失火后，案件又变得更加扑朔迷离了――到底是谁闯进了公寓里？为什么要把它烧毁呢？
作为一个调查员，你需要与Skylark公寓的各种古怪房客谈话，检查各个房间，最后找出谁在撒谎，谁在夸大事情的真相。由于是在这样一个地方，你绝对不能只看事情的表面现象……
