Toro Y Moi 是录音艺术家 Chazwick Bundick 的艺名，他的音乐形式多样。
Bundick出生于1986年11月7日，哥伦比亚，南卡罗来纳州(Columbia, South Carolina)。在里奇威高中(Ridgeview High School)时，他和另外三个同学在学校组成了哥伦比亚独立摇滚乐队"The Heist and the Accomplice"，当时还挺出名的。2009年春天，Bundick 毕业于南卡罗来纳州大学(the University of South Carolina)，获得平面设计硕士学位(a bachelor's degree in graphic design)。在他学校生涯的后期，Bundick和chillwave达人Ernest Greene(艺名Washed Out)成了朋友。
