剧情介绍
这是一部卓别林情感交集、有血有泪的自传式电影。影片讲述的是一个过气的喜剧演员，整天只会醉酒度日，他努力接受自己被观众日渐遗忘的事实。有一天他救了一个想自杀的女孩，原来女孩是一个芭蕾舞演员，但她患了风湿不能再跳舞了，他很同情女孩，便想尽一切办法来帮助她。为她治病，帮她寻找事业上的出路，并拒绝与爱上他的女孩长相厮守，执意为她寻找一个与她匹配的男子，自己却悄悄的离开了，多年以后，两人相逢，已成名的女孩为小丑筹备一场大型演出，结束时的掌声陪他走过人生最后一程。
