CHANNEL FIVE is to run a new series documenting the day-to-day lives of Britain's Emergency Services motorcyclists - the men and women often first on-scene at many of the country's emergency incidents.

The programme, aptly titled 'Emergency Bikers' follows Birmingham’s paramedics and Essex police motorcycle squads as they race through congested roads and cities to be the first on the scene at many of them region's incidents.

Series 1

1 :01x01 - Episode 1 (Jul/20/2010)

The bikers have to rush to help a child which has been involved in a traffic accident. They also have to deal with the effects of an addict's heroin overdose and they uncover a cannabis stash.

2 :01x02 - Episode 2 (Jul/27/2010)

The bikers are called in to help deal with the aftermath of some football violence. Some fast thinking action is needed after a car crash and a body is discovered on a towpath.

3 :01x03 - Episode 3 (Aug/03/2010)

As a paramedic is trying to save a teenager's life he ends up being attacked. Birmingham city centre is sealed off due to a chemical leak.

4 :01x04 - Episode 4 (Aug/11/2010)

Mark is called out to help following a shooting. A bike is dragged from a pond by Roy. The team are needed to help a couple of girls after they are hit on a pedestrian crossing.

5 :01x05 - Episode 5 (Aug/18/2010)

Paramedics have to deal with a suspected stroke victim after a fishmonger collapses at a market. They also have to help a pensioner who has taken a tumble and a man hit crossing the road.

6 :01x06 - Episode 6 (Aug/25/2010)

The paramedicsare called into action to help deal with a stabbing. Essex police meet an offender who is a bit of a smooth talker. The country's first fire-fighting motorbike is unveiled.

7 :01x07 - Episode 7 (Sep/01/2010)

New girl Lucy has to deal with some troublemaking youths and a fleeing suspect on the streets of Southend-on-Sea. The paramedics have to contend with a bomb scare in Birmingham.

8 :01x08 - Episode 8 (Sep/08/2010)

The team come to the aid of an RAF medic and a pensioner who has had a bad fall. The bike squad in Essex cracks down on motorists who have been speeding.

9 :01x09 - Episode 9 (Sep/15/2010)

The team are called into action after a schoolboy is hit by a car. The Essex team mourn the death of a fellow motorcyclist.
