Tony Awards（托尼奖）是表扬美国剧场杰出人士的年度奖项。以女演员与制作人托尼-培瑞（1888～1946）为名，这个一年一度的奖项由美国剧院协会於1947年成立，旨在褒扬於百老汇戏剧及音乐剧中表现优异的人士。奖项包括最佳戏剧、最佳音乐剧、最佳改编剧本及最佳音乐剧改编剧本。此外还颁发最佳男女演员、最佳导演、最佳音乐、最佳编舞、最佳布景及最佳服装等奖项。
本年度的提名中由埃尔顿-约翰一手炮制的著名音乐剧《舞动人生》横扫15项提名成为提名大赢家，也平了梅尔布禄士在2001年的《金牌监制》最多提名的纪录。《舞》剧将会与《史莱克：音乐剧》等角逐最佳音乐剧。至于演员奖项方面，《闪亮的风采》奥斯卡影帝杰弗里-拉什也与《人在江湖》男星詹姆斯-甘多费尼争最佳话剧男主角，至于重踏台板的简-芳达就与玛茜亚-姬赫顿争夺最佳话剧女主角。
