A 24 Hours Talk: What Is In The Bag?

Hi, you guys who love 24 Hours,

When Season 4 of 24 came to an end, there was a worldwide arguement about whether they would continue the suspense. I had no doubt, though, since 24 had already become their money tree as I noted last time, and they didn't have a single reason to bring the blockbuster to a dead end. And here we are, the Season 5.

What amazes me most is that the sequels of the show simply get better and better

, which is beyond the fans' expectations. The way they end the story of Season

5 also strongly whets the appetite of its audience, as does how they begin the new thriller by an assassination against the ex-President David Palmer. The moment you watch the deaths of three leading characters of the previous season, you

are completely captured.

The screenwriters of 24 must have studied JinYong, the accomplished Chinese literate, thoroughly --- Look how they bring an end to each season. Aren't they just like the tragic endings of JinYong's masterpieces? When it's near the conclusion of the season, everything seems settled, the bad guys are dead or brought to

justice and hostages are rescued, and the hero and heroine are in a happy reunion. Then like a bolt out of the blue, a new twist, that usuall bodes ill, comes

up to shock its audience, who have just heaved a sigh of relief. Then the devotees of the movie will have to face a new torture, a wait as long as one whole year for the next season.

You never know and you can never tell what's going to happen the next moment. Season 4 has featured almost all the terroristic attacks, what else can they come up with in the Season 5? Well, 24 never ceases to surprise its lovers. In Season 5, the biggest terrorist is none other but the President of the United States, the terrible, blind, extreme Nationalist. Given Bush's notorious policy toward Iraq, isn't it a profound sarcasm?

The music, the special effect, and most importantly the performance of all actors and actresses, are as usual, flawless.

Now the question is, if you are a careful watcher you'll have noticed that every

time Jack Bauer is on a mission, he's forever carrying an inconspicuous bag with him all the time --- and only in Season 5.

So what's inside the mysterious bag? What's so important that Bauer has to keep

it all the time? And believe it or not, the bags made of the same material, of
