She calls herself Linda, who is my only daughter.

The other day I went to Linda’s school and found out something bad about her classmate Wang.

Wang is a little girl 12 years old. She is blind in one eye. She told me about her story, which shocked me a lot. Linda has never told me that such an invalid student is both her classmate and at her same desk as her.

She was abandoned when she was over 2 years old by her parents. She lost her an

eye due to an unexpected high fever, fortunately, an old woman took her in and brought her up. She lived with her foster mother in a remote village, where there

was no junior high school, so she had to go out of her village to study. She eats at school and lives at school. She can't go home very often, just when the holidays come. Her teacher said she took a lower level of education before. She is

now in grade 6 but her education level is only grade 4. In order to help her catch up with other students, he arranged for her to sit next to Linda. Having heard of Wang's student experience, there is something wet sliding down my cheek.

On the way home, I didn’t say anything but kept Linda’s hand in my grasp.

“Why didn't you tell your mom about your classmate? Maybe I can help her.” I blamed it on Linda when we got to home. she said: "Sorry, Jenny. Do you know, there are many such people in China who need help, not only Wang”, she spoke plausibly, “You can help one or two, but then how about others who are similar? Can

you help every one of them?”

I was amazed by her words. I really wonder why she can have such terrible idea as a girl of only 13. for a mother, I am so frustrated in educating my child. Perhaps it is important for me to ask my husband for help in how to guide Linda to

a more healthy way in the future.

I said to Linda that I would invite her student to come to my home on Sunday. If

she did, I would cook delicious food for her and buy her some new clothes. “Ok

, mom. You are so kind. I love you.” How very outspoken a child is she! I patted her forehead softly and shook my head, "Well, she has been grown up!" I thought to myself.

Maybe I am not very good as a mother I am afraid. What should I do?

Perplexedly,Jenny

PS: The article above corrected by my teacher,Jim. Here a big hug from his student.
