The Best Time of My Life

Dear Jenny. Dear Forum members!

According to the accounting in Jenny's article, I have used up 92 % of my time on earth. What was or is the best time of life? My answer is, without doubt the present.

I just had the best summer ever. I look forward to a great vacation in December. I am relatively healthy and in a happy frame of mind. Well, at least most of the time.

Would I want to repeat this same jourmey of life? No, once was enough. I rather look forward to what the next world will bring.

What is the secret of happiness? Contentment! What is the secret of Contentment?To be satisfied with what fate has dealt you. This does not preclude striving or hoping for something better, or we would not have progress. But attachment to material things is what is detrimental to the soul and happiness.

To sum up: Looking back on a long life: always the present was the best time. And it still is.
