芳魂一去整十年:真善美的邓丽君

Activities mark late Chinese pop diva

5月8日是邓丽君逝世10周年纪念日，回顾她的一生，在中国流行音乐史上无疑是承前启后、开宗立派的一代大师，她演唱的歌曲已经成为世界文化遗产的一部分，她以妙不可言的邓式唱腔和完美的演唱技巧，带领人们走进真、善、美的艺术境界里。

这么多年过去了，掌声依然如故，人们由衷地喜爱她，难忘她，怀念她。

Memorial activities will be held around China tomorrow to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of Chinese queen of songs , or Deng Lijun in mandarin.

A commemorative concert will be held in Teresa Teng''s hometown Taiwan, featuring some of China''s hottest singers Jolin and Gigi.

In Hong Kong, the stage drama "Tasting of Teresa Teng" will be performed on May 8th to remember the late singer, who died of asthma in 1995 at the age of 42.

A commemorative music garden is also planned for the south China tourist city of Guilin.

The project is due to open to the public next May.
